La Casa di Alice" Bed & Breakfast is a characteristic
stone farmhouse laying among vineyards and olive trees
in a panoramic position overlooking the green valley of
the Merse river.
It has been recently restored conserving many original
features and divided into four comfortable bedrooms each
with private en-suite shower bathroom:three double
bedrooms and a triple bedroom.
The living room is on the ground floor. There, the
owners, Alice and Davide will serve you breakfast with
milk, coffee, a variety of herbal
teas, biscuits, cornflakes, jam, yougurt, fruit and home-made
cakes and bread or, if you like, you can savour salami and
cured meat from Cinta senese swine, the typical native
Sienese breed with black hair and a white band raised in
almost wild status in the Sienese countryside.

La casa di Alice is just a few miles away from the town of Murlo in the Province of Siena and is conveniently situated half an hour's drive from Siena, and within one hour's drive from Montalcino, Pienza, val d'Orcia and the Tyrrenean coast. Shops, restaurants, banks 7 kms away. The Location of La Casa Alice is perfect for touring. Siena 35 kms, 1 hour to Florence, 7 kms from Murlo and Buonconvento. The beautiful Etruscan/Roman village of Montalcino just over the hill is famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wines and boasts some excellent restaurants. Within half an hour's drive there are fascinating towns and villages rich in art and architecture such as Murlo and its Etruscan museum, Montepulciano, Monte Oliveto Abbey, Sant'Antimo monastery where you can be listed to beautiful Gregorian chants, Pienza - home of Pope Pius II, one of the most picturesque towns in Italy - also famous for its Pecorino cheeses.
