La Macina
La Macina è una casa di campagna in pietra, costruita con amore dai proprietari per celebrare le domeniche e le feste alla vecchia maniera Siciliana.
Appena fuori dal paese, La Macina offre ai suoi ospiti grande privacy, senza rinunciare alla comodità di avere i negozi a portata di mano.
Si sviluppa su un terreno di 3000 mq, completamente recintato e protetto, in posizione panoramica vista mare. Parte del terreno è coltivato a vigna, frutteto e orto. Tutti i prodotti sono a disposizione degli ospiti.
La casa è composta di una spaziosa cucina in muratura abbellita da ceramiche siciliane decorate a mano da cui si accede al bagno con doccia, all'orto da una parte, al porticato attrezzato per mangiare all'aperto ed al soggiorno con camino dall'altra.
Dal soggiorno, che ospita anche un divano letto matrimoniale, si accede alla zona notte, composta di due camere singole e una matrimoniale. Dalle camere si gode di un panorama incantevole sulle valli e fino al mare, che appare vicinissimo.
Grandi spazi all'aperto, pergolate e gazebo offrono all'ospite diverse zone per mangiare all' aria aperta godendo di una panorama a 360°.
La casa è ideale per ospitare comodamente 4 persone. Tuttavia le dimensioni della zona giorno e del giardino la rendono ideale per feste di ogni genere, anche matrimoni.
Possiamo infatti aiutarvi ad organizzare il vostro banchetto.
NOTE: l'unico neo di questa casa è il tralicio della corrente che si trova a qualche decina di metri dalla casa. Non fa alcun rumore e la tensione è nulla. E' progetto del comune di toglierlo. Non sappiamo quando.
Zona
Aliminusa è un piccolo comune in Provincia di Palermo. Si trova sulle colline sopra Termini Imerese. La strada per raggiungerla è molto panoramica e piacevole. Dista circa 25 km dal raccordo autostradale di Buonfornello, sulla Trapani-Messina. Il comune è servito di tutto, e nella vicina Cerda si trovano altri ristoranti e negozi.
Il paese è sostanzialmente rurale, la sua economia è basata sull' agricoltura (molto conosciuta per i carciofi) e sulla tessitura. Aliminusa è infatti rinomata per il ricamo basato su tecniche antiche tramandate da generazione in generazione.
La produzione di formaggi pecorini e caprini è un altro motivo di vanto. Non mancate di visitare lo spaccio locale: in tarda mattinata troverete la ricotta di pecora calda - antico rimedio per regolare la flora intestinale.
La zona offre panorami incantevoli e si presta a lunghe passeggiate allietate da fiori e spezie di ogni genere. Gli amanti della bicicletta non rimarranno delusi.

We spent 2 weeks here between December and January this year. A part from the fact that we ere blessed with the warmest and sunniest weather evr (often over 20?C), we loved Pina and Salvatore's warm, genuine welcome and acontinued assistance during our stay. They are ever only 1 phone call away, and when they came round to chek on us, they always had some gift for us from their organic orchard, or from Pina's kicthen. We even made pizzas together in the wood oven - Pina is a great cook and great teacher! The house itself is very very welcoming, every single detail is carefully attended to. The fireplace was a great thing to have at night. The house did not have heating, and on certain days it was chilly inside, but if you are touring in the day it is ok. The kitchen has everything you need, also a washing machine. The only thing I did not like was the toilet, it is on the ground floor, and if you need to go to the toilet at night, you have to come downstairs. I will definitely go back to this house in the warm season, it must be amazing! We chose this house because we wanted to have a real Sicilian experience, we travel a lot and do not like to be in touristy areas and be charged tourist rates. We like meeting the locals and finding out more about the local culture, the simple food and minor traditions. La Macina was the perfect balance for us, as we were only 25 minutes drive away (a very panoramic drive) from the motorway connecting Palermo and Catania and the coast, we found lovely people who introduced us to genuine Sicilian living, we ate genuine food and paid local prices - very fair prices (pizza euro 3,50). The rental rates of this house are very fair, too! All in all - best of luck to the owners and a thumbs up for all guests who may consider renting this house for their holidays

"Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Urlaub im La Macina in Aliminusa. Die Eltern der Vermieter, die im selben Ort wohnen, haben uns herzlich empfangen und über die 14 Tage bestens und liebevoll betreut.Wir hatten z.B. die ersten Tage etwas Pech mit dem Wetter und wurden von Pina und Salvatore regelmäßig mit Holz zum heizen versorgt. Das war so herzlich.Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet,wunderschön eingerichtet und für 6 Personen absolut ausreichend. Das Grundstück ist riesengroß und man wir mit einem traumhaften Blick belohnt.Weit weg vom Tourismus (für Partygänger nicht zu empfehlen!)kann man hier einen richtig ruhigen,ursprünglichen, sizilianischen Urlaub erleben, genau das was wir gesucht haben.Zum nächsten schönen Strand (Cefalu) fährt man mit dem Auto ca 30-40min, das muss einem bewusst sein, aber die Fahrt dort hin war jedes Mal traumhaft. Und wenn man mal keine Lust hat so weit zu fahren, kann der hauseigene Pool genutzt werden. Das Einzige was vielleicht wissenswert sein sollte, wenn mehrere Paare zusammen reisen (wir waren z.B. 2 Paare und 2 Singles): Es gibt 2 Einzelzimmer und 1 Doppelzimmer im oberen Stockwerk. D.h. ein Pärchen musste unten auf der ausklappbaren Couch schlafen. Da es nur 1 Toilette gibt und diese sich unten befindet, müssen diejenigen, die oben schlafen, nachts nach unten, um auf die Toilette zu gehen. Nur als eine klitzekleine Vorwarnung, sollte das unten schlafende Paar einen leichten Schlaf haben... ;-) Ansonsten war alles in allem tutto bene e phantastico!!! Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren."
