In 2010 we produced our first guidebook to slow travelling in Siena which included very detailed information on local food, wine, typical products, good restaurants for all budgets, small itineraries to do on foot, bike and driving, within 50 kms radius from the house we have in Siena, as well as instructions on making the most of the house.

Thanks to the enthusiastic feedback we got from guests, we decided to produce one for each house.
Particularly enthusiastic was feedback on the short, slow itineraries, for slow days full of culture and nature in an informal style. We will therefore research more of these itineraries, including gardens, natural reserves, and whatever we find of Pure & Authentic!

We really like buying our cheeses, meats and greens directly from the producers for various reasons: it tastes 1000 times better, it is healthier, it is much cheaper and it is the best way of getting to know the local culture. It is often from chatting to them that we discover beautiful places to visit.
The new booklets will include a section on local producers, and where possible organic producers of meat, cheese, veggies, wine, etc.

Each booklet is produced in cooperation with the owners and the locals we have met on our travels. We do not take payments to include businesses on these booklets.

The booklets will be ready by June 2011.
